We had the pleasure of kennel walking this past weekend. BBR Clear Borne is a friendly lovable hound. He wags his tail and loves the interaction. We also found out he is a smiler. If you have never seen a greyhound smile, then you may not appreciate how funny it looks (in a good way). Whenever this sweet boy goes to his forever home, I am sure he will reward his family with many smiles. I hope it is soon.
Best Regards,

My pick or your pick?
"Hello, my name is Laura and I am a troublemaker."
For even more perspective consider that we have different volunteers walking each night. Other volunteers drive North from the track to meet & deliver the hounds to still more volunteers who then drive the dogs the rest of the way to the SEGA kennel. The dogs are then greeted by yet another set of volunteers who help for "spa" day, bathing, grooming, and in general making a fuss over the new Greyhounds on their first day at the kennel. Almost every one of those volunteers along the way has picked a favorite hound from each haul. You get the idea. Nearly every Greyhound that comes through SEGA has at some point been someone's "pick of the litter".
PS The facts of my post remain true. Clear Borne really impressed me on walks Tuesday. "Come & get him!"

Clearly the pick of the Litter
This boy is, in my humble opinion, the pick of the latest "litter" of retired racers brought to our kennel. The end of the racing season is here and more Greys are looking for homes everyday. Clear Borne just finished his career and he was born to be a lover. This guy is my favorite of the latest group. He played well with the other boys Tues. night even though one of them was trying to get Clear riled up. He was animated on leash but not a puller, just full of energy on a great Autumn evening and ready for a sprint in the run. As soon as we came back in he went easily into his kennel but turned & snuggled his head into my hand for an ear rub.
Come & get him!
